The Bhumi Project The Bhumi Project is an international Hindu response to the environmental challenges facing our planet based in The Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies. Among its activities it co-ordinates the international Hindu Environment Week, held in March every year.

Friends of Vrindavan is dedicated to linking together all those who care about the sacred forests of Krishna to protect them through Greening, Cleaning and Education in Vrindavan, India.
Clean Himalaya is a Hindu organisation which works to keep clear of rubbish and pollution a part of the town of Rishikesh - through which the holy Ganges river flows. In May 2007 Clean Himalaya was one of twenty out of 2500 grassroots projects selected for the World Bank Development Marketplace, receiving $20,000 to set up its teams of volunteers and rubbish collectors.
Ganga Action Parivar (GAP) was founded by Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji from the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh in order to bring together a "global family of professionals, engineers, scientists, activists, spiritual leaders, environmental specialists and dedicated sevaks (volunteers) dedicated to the preservation of the River Ganga and Her tributaries in their free-flowing and pristine, natural state and to the protection of over 500 million people who are dependent upon Ganga’s clean waters for their lives and livelihoods. Ganga Action Parivar is working to restore the Ganga and her tributaries from many different angles and aspects."
Food for Life, Vrindavan runs a moving blog about their outreach in this pilgrimage city near Agra in India - both to individuals in urgent need of help, and to communities in need of water through their wells programme.
