BBC radio discusses the Vatican's climate change report

The BBC's One Planet programme has gone behind the scenes at the Vatican to talk to Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, chancellor of the Academy of Sciences, about the Vatican's recent report calling for humankind to take "decisive action" on climate change.

In a new report on glacier melt, the Vatican's Pontifical Academy of Sciences appeals to all nations to reduce their impact on the environment, as "we all live in the same home".

The programme asks if the faithful will listen, and whether the Catholic church will be able to rouse humanity to action on climate change where so many other international leaders have struggled?

As well as talking to Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, One Planet asks whether science and religion can ever be compatible and check out the Vatican's solar panels.
