ARC's latest newsletter to our partners in sub-Saharan Africa focuses on the developments in partnerships - including how to engage faith groups in the United Nations Environment Programme's activities throughout Africa.
The director of UNEP's Regional Office for Africa, Mounkaila Goumandakoye, has committed UNEP to engaging meaningfully with faith-based organisations, and said it would now be a policy decision to involve faith groups in all UNEP Africa regional activities.
The newsletter also looks at what our faith partners have been doing in recent months.
They've certainly been busy - we have news of meetings to discuss faith groups linking up with Uganda's Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries on sustainable land management; development of Farming God's Way and Farming Allah's Way; a new long-term plan from the Anglican Church in Tanzania; and much more.
