The ICEA was constituted in 2013. |
The International Confucian Ecological Alliance (ICEA) is a partnership of major Chinese Confucian organisations that was formed in 2013. It is the formal body that will work with ARC on environmental issues.
The founding members of the ICEA are:
- Institute of Advanced Humanistic Studies, Peking University 北京大学高等人文研究院
- Confucian Culture Communication Center (part of the Confucius Foundation) 孔子文化传播中心
- Shaanxi Confucian Studies Association 陕西孔子研究会
- Beijing Four Seas Confucius Academy 北京四海孔子书院
- Nishan Shengyuan Academy (this is where Confucius preached in his old age) 尼山圣源书院
- Zhe Jiang Confucius Studies Association 浙江儒学研究会
Other Confucian organisations have also expressed an interest in the ICEA and may become members at a later stage.
The ICEA will be represented at the Green Pilgrimage Network meeting in Trondheim, July 2013, where a historic Confucian statement on the environment will be presented.
