BBC runs major interview with UN Secretary General - with the Windsor event prominent

BBC ran a major interview this morning with the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon - with the Windsor event prominent, and the Secretary-General highlighting the importance of the religions in the initiatives against climate change. "Without full support and cooperation of religious leaders it will be very difficult to obtain... a binding agreement in Copenhagen"

Meanwhile you can listen to the whole programme here. The Secretary-General's interview with World Service Religions Correspondent Christopher Landau comes in at the 23 minute mark. There is a feature on the Jewish Seven Year Plan, launched in New York 10 days ago, at the 15 minute mark.

Faiths “occupy a unique position” in discussions on the planet – UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon acknowledged religion’s vital role in protecting the environment in his keynote address at the Windsor Celebration. In a heartfelt speech at Windsor Castle in front of HRH The Prince Philip and faith and secular leaders, Mr Ban said the world’s faith communities occupied “a unique position in discussions on the fate of our planet".
