Join ARC's Martin Palmer and others at an inspiring Sacred Land weekend in Wales next month

ARC’s Martin Palmer will join BBC nature producer Mary Colwell and Welsh story-teller Dafydd Hughes-Davies in an extraordinary weekend on north Wales’ sacred and beautiful Llyn Peninsula next month.
The Sacred Land weekend takes place from Friday October 7 to Sunday October 9, 2016, at Aberdaron in North Wales.
“The weekend is for those hungry for a new relationship, when talk about the 'environment' can move from information to inspiration,” said Canon Tim Higgins who is hosting and facilitating the event.
There will be ways to learn from the natural world from sacred sites, mindful walks and time at to an Earth Centre where international learning is experienced through heritage building and horticulture.
The landscape of the Llyn Peninsula has stories to tell that will give us space to discover how we are part of a Greater Story of the Earth.
Opportunities to eat together with a taste of community and creation, with space provided for reflection and stillness, are planned to bring together the pleasures and time at the edge of sea and land.
This Sacred Land weekend brings together a team passionate, informed and experienced in sharing glimpses of our human place with all of life. It has been created in collaboration with Edge of Wales walks. It is a one off event.

Secretary of ARC engaging with governments and world faiths on environmental issues He is a specialist in Chinese culture, and is a regular broadcaster and environmentalist.
Mary ColwellMary will be joining us after her ‘Curlew Walk’ from
West Coast Ireland to the Wash. With 14 award for outstanding work in film making Mary advises on faith and environment. Her TV and radio, such as ‘Sharing the Planet’, is inspirational. She was one of the key inspirations behind Clifton Cathedral’s Sound of Living Waters year of environmental awareness. Her book John Muir- he saved wilderness spaces was published in 2014. Dafydd Hughes-Davies Dafydd is at the heart of Felin Uchaf, an
Earth Centre and a working model of international environmental learning from heritage. Storytelling in the Roundhouse comes alive at Felin, creating community on the Llyn Peninsula.

BookingThe weekend is open to a limited number of participants as either resident with full board or non-residents members of the group. Participants will stay in one of two places, used by the Edge of Wales Walk walk. Afallon has commanding views over Aberdaron Bay. There are good reception
rooms and a spacious garden. Bathroom facilities are not en-suite.
Manaros has four en suite bedrooms. There is a large open plan kitchen,
dining room with a wood burning stove and excellent meeting space.
PricesSharing double / twin / triple room with full board over 2 nights including programme fees - £171 per person. Single occupancy of double room over 2 nights - £211 per person
If you would like to stay for an extra night on Sunday the 9th, before travelling home on Monday morning this can be arranged for an additional £63 per person sharing, or £83 for single occupancy.
Non-resident participants are invited to join the programme events
at £45 for the weekend, not including meals, which can be arranged for a fee nearer the time.
