ARC Newsletters

Below you will find information about the various email newsletters which ARC sends out. If you would like to receive any of them, email us at arcworld@arcworld.org (putting Newsletters in the subject line). Please give us some information about your own background, interest and activities and don't forget to tell us which newsletters you'd like to receive.

1. General Newsletters

Our general newsletter, which we send out every few months, contains a round-up of our activities and interests. For an archive of previous newsletters, click here.

The Ethiopian Orthodox Church has 43.5 million members including six million young people in Sunday school
2. ARC Newsletters to our African Faith Partners

In 2010 ARC began working with Christian and Muslim groups in sub-Saharan Africa to help them develop long-term action plans on sustainable land and water management. Our newsletters are a way of exchanging news about what our various faith partners are doing in these areas, as well as sharing best practice.

To read them, visit our ARC Africa newsletter page.

3. Green Pilgrimage Network Newsletters

In 2011, ARC launched the Green Pilgrimage Network to help make the world's sacred places more sustainable. We send out a newsletter every few months to update members as to developments. You can read them here.

4. Christian Eco Retreat Newsletters

In Autumn 2008 ARC contacted 200 faith-based Retreat Centres in the UK, to ask if they would like to form an informal network to discuss ecological issues through a regular newsletter. The response has been encouraging. Many centres are going along similar paths and facing similar issues, but there has never before been a network enabling them to learn from each other’s creative ideas about how to tread more softly on the earth.

Finishing touches are added to a crane made from locally sourced willow at All Hallows School, one of the participants in the Catholic Schools Environmental Network.

5. Catholic Schools Eco Newsletter

In early 2008 we were approached by the Catholic Diocese of Clifton in the UK: teachers at the Catholic schools in the diocese were keen to share their experiences about living their faith in their carbon footprint and environmental education offered, but didn't know how. We offered to run an informal email newsletter about what the schools had been doing - about their successes and also their challenges.
