Greener Festivals

During its four days the annual Glastonbury Festival brings nearly 200,000 people to a country site on a UK farm.

Many secular festivals are already well experienced in work to reduce the carbon footprint of their event and useful resources have been developed that could help pilgrimage sites in thinking through greening initiatives.
